1. It is in the finest traditions of military
service that we, the members of the US Mercs, will conduct ourselves, always
vigilant in our pursuit of the enemy, our honor and dignity first.
2. We will conduct ourselves as professional soldiers against all who
oppose us. Honesty, trust and integrity will be our backbone. We will never
use cheats or glitches in the pursuit of the enemy in any gaming.
3. We as Mercs will follow all orders from all officers of this squad and show
respect to officers of other squads, for they have earned it. We will not verbally
attack others in open servers; instead, we will go to their web page and discuss
our grievances like honorable soldiers
4. US MERCS allies will be giving the same respect as if the were family
members of †U§M†. We will not verbally attack any allies of
†U§M† in open servers their or ours; instead, we will go to
their command stuff and discuss our grievances like honorable soldiers.
5. No member of the US MERCS will wear another squad’s tags in
a scrimmage, match, tourney or normal game play
6. Above all else, this is a game and we play to have fun and make
friends. We are a family and will help our family members whenever possible.
We will accept help from others without shame.
7. Happy hunting, have fun, kill a lot, die a
lot. But remember we are US Mercs, with no fear we will fight.
†U§M†
Family Rulz
We share this with you so you can see who we are, how we are and what we are –
a fighting family!
ALL READERS TAKE NOTE –
By joining our forums and / or playing in our ranked server, does not give you
any membership to be a US MERC.
We do have an application process for all who wish to join. The "Join
the US MERCS – RECRUITING ROOM” will be displayed only when we are
conducting recruiting activities.
All who seek to join our fighting family, must fill out the application –
only when the room is "open”.
The US MERCS – Fighting Family – RULZ!
No Cheating- ZERO TOLERENCE!
USM Members will not use any known or unknown cheats/hacks or exploits.
We Pride ourselves on our skill, ability and our honor to play the games we
support fairly.
The USM way of life…"Friends first,
Gamers Second"
"Not just a clan…it’s a family "
We're all friends here, so use common sense. Be considerate of clan (USM Family),
making jokes is ok, but don't push the limitations of jokes and insults. As
a US MERCS member, hold the US MERCS clan in high esteem. This means exercising
sound judgment while in our forums, other websites, and while gaming in with
or without US MERCS tags in our server or others.
If there is an issue with public affairs – direct those issues to the
Public and Media Affairs Officers of the US MERCS.
Remember, being a member of the US MERCS means that your actions both reflect
and represent our clan and you as a whole. We expect you to represent yourself,
our family member as a good sport and a good gamer; at all times while in the
server!
This means, you greet incoming players with a "Hello...” and tell
others "GGA”, win or loose. Leave the trash talk to the higher USM
command…they can back it up; they have control of the remote host to the
server.
We are an 18 and over Squad – Yes there
is an age restriction:
Because of our casual and mature nature, often our forums and TS are not suitable
for those under 18.
So if you are under 18, US MERCS cannot accept you as a member. We still invite
you to continue to play in our server.
Family members of US MERCS members in good standing may be granted limited access
and participation rights, such as accessibility to TeamSpeak and the wearing
of ~USM~ tags in the server.
Those granted this privilege, will still be held accountable to the same rules
and responsibilities as any other US MERCS member.
USM Internal Chain of Command -
Why have a command or ranking system? We feel that the basic rank structure
is a tangible way to remember and be respectful of the contributions of our
fellow members.
Also they give individuals a sense of the command structure, so they can easily
identify who can take care of any issues that arise. Without these contributions
our clan would not have the atmosphere we have all come to enjoy.
We're friends here (not a dictatorship), but there is a Chain of Command. If
you have a problem with a member, try to work it out between yourselves. If
that doesn’t work, bring the problem to the Command Staff (XO's and CO's)
It’s all about "adding value” to the team!
For those that help sustain, expand, and better the group we have a system in
place for both promotions and achievement ribbons. Here are a few factors that
we help to determine this:
The US MERCS, like so many other gaming clans thrives with the participation
of its members. To be an active member you need to visit the forums and post
sometimes as well. Most of the information about the clan and everything that
is going on is available to read up on in the forums.
TeamSpeak is required (special circumstances understood) for scrims/matches
or scheduled events by game CO. Aside from the communication tool for gaming,
hanging out just dubbing while on TeamSpeak is a good way to really feel like
this is your clan.
Team practices, meetings, matches, scrims, or scheduled events are important
but it is just as important to get together and just play games.
There are no mandatory donations; you can contribute
with participation and helping fill the servers in lieu of money...
Allegiance-
Any member of the US MERCS gaming family moonlighting or having membership
in another gaming organization, utilizing the same simulators as US MERCS is
not allowed.
Is all that above really necessary, to keep the US MERCS the thriving gaming
community that it is?
Yes.
The above expectations will not necessarily be understood or displayed by our
newest members at first. However, the majority of the members live up to these
simple expectations on a daily basis.
As we gain new members who want to share in this, these
simple family rules are in place to help guide them.
These rules, in general; reflects the feelings of the
US MERCS as a whole, as we all want to be here to have fun and game with our
friends.
